Patrick Zimmerli's "Messages"

Thomas Enhco, piano

Morphing Quartet, classical saxophones

Stéphane Kerecki, double bass

Fabrice Moreau, percussion

American composer and saxophonist Patrick Zimmerli, based between New York and Paris, explores in all his work the border between jazz and classical music. His new project brings together a new formation that continues this musical journey: the young and versatile French pianist Thomas Enhco, the French quartet of classical saxophones Morphing, and the formidable bassist and drummer Stéphane Kerecki and Fabrice Moreau.

Messages will take the form of a mini-concerto where the saxophone quartet will play the ropes, brass, and winds combined, supported by the rhythm section of the jazz instruments, while Thomas will navigate between classical piano and improvisation - messages that s send and send these musicians for a dialogue out of the ordinary.
